malfunctioning Elites?

Has anyone heard accounts of the new Elites malfunctioning yet?malfunctioning Elites?
Kind of too early to tell.  Seems Microsoft only makes the systems to last 1 year before they fail, so lets give them a bit to see how the failure rate on those go.malfunctioning Elites?

I honestly do not care if you do think it is a dumb statement, whether they do make them or not, I have known quite a few people to where their systems only lasted 1 year.  Almost to an exact date if when they purchased it.  Could be just a coincident, but with the failure rate of the 360 being so high, I wouldn't put anything past them.

People that think Microsoft sabotages their consoles to break on purpose need to get a lobotomy.
I have had an XBOX 360 Elite since launch and also got the first XBOX 360 on launch and then a few other 360's later.  Elite is very reliable as of now no scratching or anything.  With the 360 it's either a win lose situation.  Mine from launch never broke down yet but some of my others have so you can't really tell.
My Elite is doing just fine.
wow, just wow...dont even know were to start with these statements
Ya mines doing great as well.  Would seem they are more reliable or people complaining they have died aren't specifing it's an Elite.  But seems they are doing better than the other models.

Consoles were breaking because of heat issues and the GPU's were coming apart from the motherboards. Microsoft has addressed this and are building the consoles differently now. It's not a conspiracy. No need to get your panties in a bundle.

I can't remember what they switched over to but it's not the be all end all fix. But again I think you have a good point.

Supposedly if they switch to the new chips in the future (possibly fall) they will produce less heat and even further fix the problem.
I've seen elite with 3 red of rings. Some guy posted it here after its release about 3 days
wow... my xbox360 died after 4 months of use...And yet my ps2 has lasted 6+ years without death and i still playYes its consumer electronics, but there wont be many consumers if xboxs die in shorter time frames than the rest of their gaming consoles.I dunno about you but i dont feel like dishing out 500$ for a new console every year
I'm not disputing the fact that previous consoles were more reliable. They were much simpler in terms of their build. Anytime you make something more complicated and advanced 9 times out of 10 it will be less reliable. This goes with cars, computers, etc...
I don't know if Microsoft would intentionally manufacture the consoles to die but sometimes I do wonder myself. Both my friend's and my console died right after the warranty was up. We bought our consoles on the same day and they died on almost the same day too. It is just a bit strange.

Look man, I understand what you are saying. Sorry for the harsh words but sometimes these forums need a little rebel like myself. I understand what you are saying about the systems, I was just stating something I thought and a lot of other people thought as well. Again, sorry for what I said.
