I am going to buy a 360 in about two weeks, and I was planning on getting the elite but nobody has it in stock where I live, so I was wondering if I should get the premium or wait til the elites are in stock? I also have an HDMI compatible tv and I would be able to use the cable for it. Anyways, since I don't already have a 360, Is it best to just get an elite or the premium console? I heard that the Elite is actually cooler and it doesn't heat up as much, but is that true? Plus I have a lot of music and videos that I would store in it, (I filled up my psp 1 gig memory stick in about a week), and I don't know how long the 20 gig harddrive would last me and I don't feel like paying 180 dollars for a 120 gig hdd when I could just get it with the elite for 80 dollars more than the premium. So is the 20 gig hdd hard to fill up and will last me a long time, or would I need to eventually need to buy a new hdd in the next few years? Please give me some advice.Question about buying a 360?
bump.Question about buying a 360?
get the elite, its on bestbuy.com...so you pay 5 bucks for shipping better than 180 for the 120gb HD
If you can get an Elite and they will be in within a reasonable amount of time, I say go for it. It is only $80 more and offers enough to make it worth it. You could take use of your HDMI-enabled HDTV as well as use all the extra space for content. Don't worry about the Xbox 360 overheating because that usually doesn't happen and is in the case of it being in a poor-circulation environment. It's failure rate probably is low, but has the same chance as any other newly built 360.The 20GB HDD, which is really 13GB due to reserved storage, would be able to hold more than enough of your music. This is if you even need to store it there since you can stream it from your PC which requires no memory usage on your 360. It will also be able to hold all your needs as long as you don't download to many demos at a time or store too much content. Having a 120GB HDD would be very beneficial for any future use where more memory is required.

I'm not sure if I should get the insurance because none of my systems have ever broken. Heck, I still have my Playstation 1 that I got on launch day around 95 or 96 (cant remember) that is still in great condition. I even still have some of the old playstation launch games that were in those black rectangle cases. Does everybodys 360 have problems, or only some break? But if I get the insurance, how much does it cost anyways? Sorry if I'm blabing on to much, but I want to be as descriptive as possible so I can get better advice. Thanks.
You may be able to get a warranty for the Xbox 360 from BestBuy.com, but I am not sure since it is from online. I would assume you could. If not, you can always buy a warranty from Microsoft for $40 which is 2 years, I believe. Not all 360s break, but it may be wise to fork over a reasonable amount to be protected for awhile. I thought the same as you as to not buy a warranty because none of my past console have broken, but I was fooled and had to fork over $140. The again I had a launch console.

I'll eventually will get the adaptor sometime down the line, but until then, my internet box where you plug your ethernet cable is in my basement, so will I only be able to stream it down there untill I get the $100 wireless reciever?
Is it ok if I send you an Xbox live friend request for later Chargers fan, because I am trying to already build up an xbox live friends list, and I already made an account on xbox.com to claim my gamertag name?
I am not sure to the extent that it is possible to stream off your PC. I know that if your PC and 360 are connected to the same router via Ethernet it will work as long as you have a Windows XP. It may work via wireless too, but I am not really sure. So without wireless it should work fine as long as it is under the conditions I described, if not that then I am not sure.
