Thanks.[/QUOTE]if you have a Sam's club near you, go there and look at the Vizio LCD HDTVs. My bro just bought a 37'' 1080p for $600. It's a perfect HDTV fully loaded with features, including HDMI. You can only buy the TV from Sam's club or on their website though.
a big one?
There is no such thing as a best TV. Go to the store and get the one that looks best for your eyes.
Well, theres a number of things you need to consider.
How big is your room?
How close will you be sitting to it?
Ideally, if you have a small room, you want to go with a 32 - 38 inch. A 42 inch in a small room looks pathetic. The closer you sit to it, the more unclear the image becomes. Ideally, a good 7 - 8 foot away from the tv, it will be crystal clear.
i was asking as to which is the best 1080p or 1080i? lcd or dlp?i have a sams club near but i'm not a member, so i would have to check cosco.

Try the general hardware forums.
i have bought a philips lcd 42 720p it looks great...and guys dont ever get a 1080p if yuo at least dont buy a 46 inch tv...or you will not tell the difference. And a contrast ratio from 4000:1 and up.
I have a 60'' LCD Sony Wega that I am real impressed with. It runs at 1080i and not 1080p but, as I said, I am still very happy with it and my 360 graphics looks beautiful running on it.
DLP is more affordable and looks absolutely gorgeous on a 50-60'' screen. Samsungs are by far the greatest manufacture of DLP and have defeated the long cursed ''rainbow effect'' of the projection screens. I purchased a 56'' DLP samsung for $2,000 and have never looked back.. Greatest investment I've ever made. Oh and btw, that is 1080p and they accept that signal via component (no upconverting)
well i'm thinkin 46'' would be a little out of my price range. I'm looking to get something on a good sale, preferably nomore than $750. So if i get a 37 in tv, should i look for 720? that would prob be cheaper as well.

ya get 720p cuz you wont reap the benefits of a 1080p at that size
ok so i've came to the conclusion i should buy a 720p lcd...i've read around that 720p is better for gaming over 1080 as of right now anyway. With the fps and everything....well i was also wondering about the hdmi, will that be important on a say 37'' lcd hdtv 720p? I'll make sure to get a tv that accepts hdmi if it would make a difference in graphics for when i get the elite. Another thing i was wondering was about the vga port...can i connect a pc to the tv and use it as a computer monitor?...like connect a pc harddrive tower to the tv and use it as a computer monitor as well as a tv, as well as a gaming monitor.Like right now i can switch between tv and xbox360, so with the vga could i switch between 360, pc, tv? THANKS A LOT DUDES!
