I read somewhere that Microsoft would be launching a 'new' 360 that is basically the same, but with a slightly better processor or something like that. Is this true? If so, when would it be released? Is there a new version of the 360 coming ...

Is there a new version of the 360 coming ...
If you live in North America, its already released I thinkIf you like in europe like me, you can expect it in 8 years.
Ahh, so the Elite is the only new version? Ok, thanks.
What about the one with the new 65mm chip or whatever/

I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
What about the one with the new 65mm chip or whatever/
The 65nm chip should come out eventually. Possibly near the end of this year, or sometime next year. I'd think MS would announce the details when they know for sure, or they might just roll the new 65nm processors out silently like they did with some of the quieter Disc Drives, but you'll just have to wait and see.
I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
Uhh maybe because you save 100 DOLLARS if you settle with the Elite as opposed to getting a Premium and 120 gb hard drive seperately. Duh.
I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
Because it should have been black and had hdmi when it came out!! And some of us have had one for over a year and 1/2, hardly seems new.
I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
very dumb comment
I don't know why people want the elite so much. It is just personal choice.
In the Fall of 2007 they will be implementing a new die-cast size of CPU (called 65nm) - this does not cause ANY performance improvements over the current CPU's - what it will do is make the 360 run cooler.
I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
I guess its for the HDMI port and the cheaper option of getting a 120gb HDD,but I agree if people already own a premium 360 then I really dont see any reason to buy a new 360.
If I buy a 360 Premium now, is there any chance I can exchange it for one with the new chips when it comes out later? Just wondering because I don't think I can wait 5-6 months for the one with the new chips. And yes, I know the new chips only make it run cooler.
Elite was out in the US in april. Im not sure of the UK date
I don't know why people want the elite so much. Just buy the darn hardrive seperatley.
i agree if your already a 360 owner, if you dont have one yet tho, the elite is the way to go.
Im pretty sure M$ will offer some sort of service to install the chips/replace the 360s for free/minimal price.
Otherwise they would piss off around 10 million gamers, not a good idea. If you cant wait mate then seriously just get one now, alot of games right now you oughta to pick up and finish before the mighty september to december period where the 360 gets bombared with potential AAA games.
