Call MS, your 360 is doneBlue checkerboard, 3 sections of red rin ...
What would I do if I called them? If it's done, then shouldn't I just go out and buy a new one?
when did u buy it?
This has happened to me. It's definitely dead.
when did u buy it?
January 1st, 2006. Yeah, it's an old one. One of the first made.
well thats what happened to my 360 cept with red checkerboard and freezing then it died, but you dont have the 1 year warranty, sorry man
yea... you are SOL my friend... too bad it didnt happen about 6 months ago... sorry. but as opposed to buying a new one... they should only charge you like 150 I think to get it repaired or replaced... I think... call them.
If I get it repaired, will it have a good chance of breaking again?
mine is bein sent in right now and bein repaired, their is a quick fix but i don't reccommend it because it could mess up somethin inside it. So i would just send it in. Hey atleast you get a free month of xbox live =)
The chances it will break again are... YES BIG TIME!! (Im on my third 360)
Try the towel trick(google it) before calling microsoft :P
Try the towel trick(google it) before calling microsoft :P
But you get a new 1 year warrenty when you send it in as well.
ive had the 3 rings like 4 times. But its cause of my outlet. not with my 360. Never heard of the blue checkerboard thingy. Just get it replaced. Much cheaper than buyin a new one.
This happened to me too, except the checkerboard looking thing was grey. :? And it's done for btw, I sent mine in and it should come back around Monday.
Don't buy a new one. I had my 360 for a year and a half before it died, meaning no warranty, no nothing. I called MS, the girl (a real human!)was actually really nice and was very helpful. For the price of like $140 they handle shipping, a free month of Xbox LIVE and a one-year warranty. I ended up actually getting a new system back from them. I was tempted to just buy a newsystem myself to avoid the hassle, but I'm glad I didn't.
Alright, so I should send it in to Microsoft for a cheaper new one, and this will work even without my warranty?
